Frequently asked questions
Is Genomisaur PGT-P?
No. PGT-P — polygenic screening of IVF embryos — requires an embryo biopsy and Orchid is the main provider. Genomisaur screens parents, not embryos, and simulates 100 possible offspring from both parents' genomes.
Can I use Genomisaur before IVF and Orchid during?
Yes. A reasonable path is: upload existing DNA data to Genomisaur for a $99 pre-IVF readout, then use Orchid PGT-P if and when you actually start an IVF cycle.
Does Genomisaur work with 23andMe data?
Yes — Genomisaur is designed to analyze 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage files and VCFs from any WGS provider. Orchid requires their own whole genome sequencing.
Informational, not diagnostic
Consumer preconception reports — ours, Orchid Health's, and others — are informational. Carrier and polygenic risk results should be discussed with a qualified healthcare provider or genetic counselor before making medical or reproductive decisions.
